On these two shoots I worked as a Wardrobe Stylist. Both were directed by a good friend of mine A.Todd Smith, within his company Bellpond. His wife, Amy often works with him as the Wardrobe designer. Working with friends is always a blast! While working on any film set the crew often becomes your family, and when you’re working with friends the bonds grow even stronger. The first video posted here, Conflicted Games, I was actually able to work alongside my husband, Cassidy, as well! He wrote the script and worked alongside A.Todd to develop the story and shot lists.
Oh boy, this shoot with Purple was a fun one! Though I was stashed in a freezing cold room (as this was shot around December 20th) I was also surrounded by friends, including the Talent — Billy and Jake. I love working in Wardrobe when you’re friends with the cast, you end up spending a lot of time together fitting, and changing outfits for different scenes.
Another plus of working with a director who you’re good friends with, is that they often ask for me to sneak in some Easter eggs! On this Purple Mattress shoot, all the name-tags on the cast members and extras were all different characters from Parks and Recreation!
I have also worked with Bellpond on shoots as Production Designer, Set Dresser, and Wardrobe Stylist with brands, Enso Rings, and Well Healthcare.
